Who is this for?
For people who have stopped taking the world at face value - and want to do something steadier with that than worry.
You do not need to have read everything, and you do not need to agree with everything. You need to be willing to look, to ask, and to sit with what you find. If you have been following this material on your own for years, this is the part where you stop doing it alone.
Do I need any investigative experience?
None. Curiosity is the only requirement.
No background in history, geopolitics or research is expected. What matters is an open mind, the patience to follow evidence rather than opinion, and the willingness to have a few of your own certainties questioned. Ole takes care of the rest, from the arrival point to the seventh stage.
What is included?
One price. Nine days, with nothing left for you to arrange.
- The days - nine days of lectures, research sessions and open discussion with Ole.
- The certificate - your Dammeguardian certificate on completion.
- Where you stay - eight nights in our private sanctuary in the Sidemen valley.
- Every meal - breakfast, lunch and dinner. Organic, local plus many vegetarian options.
- The excursions - two full days: the Mother Temple, and the water purification ceremony.
Flights to Bali are booked separately - you can search for flights here. Airport transport is NOT included, but we are happy to share contact details for excellent local drivers who can be waiting for you at the airport.
Is it a recognised qualification? Is it tax-deductible?
It is our certificate, not a state one - and we would rather say so plainly.
On completion you receive a Dammeguardian certificate from Light On Conspiracies/Sama Sama Light. It is not issued by a government body or an accredited institution, and it does not carry a professional licence. What it marks is that you walked the seven stages.
Whether the cost is deductible depends entirely on your country, your work and your own tax position, so it is not something we can promise. Many self-employed participants treat it as professional development. If that matters to your decision, ask your accountant first - and we will gladly issue a full invoice for your records.
What do I take home?
A way of seeing that does not switch off when you land.
You leave able to read a news story, an event or an official account and notice what does not fit - calmly, and without needing anyone to tell you what to think about it.
You also leave lighter than you arrived, and with a handful of people who understand exactly what you are talking about. That part tends to last longer than the notes.
How do I book a place?
The group is kept deliberately small, so the number of places is limited.
Your place is confirmed once payment is received, by card or PayPal, at the bottom of this page. Because the group is small we are not able to hold a place unpaid. If you would rather talk it through first, write to us and you will get a proper answer from a person.
Can I come alone?
Yes - and many people do.
You may arrive not knowing anyone. That rarely survives the first evening. Nine days in a small group, working through the same questions, tends to produce friendships that outlast the retreat itself.
What if I need to cancel?
Life happens. Here is exactly where you stand, in plain terms.
- More than 60 days before the start: 90% refund
- 30 - 59 days before: 50% refund
- 0 - 29 days before: no refund - at that point the place can no longer be filled
Your place is transferable. If you cannot come, you may pass it to someone else, or move it to a future retreat (with a medical certificate).
